Rope Rescue Course
Course Overview
Our Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) course is a comprehensive five-day programme designed to introduce the essential knowledge, practical skills, and operational understanding required to work safely and effectively within rope rescue environments.
The course prepares participants to function as competent and reliable members of a rope rescue team, with a strong emphasis on safe systems of work, teamwork, and disciplined operational practice. Learners will develop an understanding of core rope rescue principles, equipment use, and the roles and responsibilities involved in structured rescue operations.
Throughout the course, participants are trained in a range of foundational skills including rope handling, anchor systems, basic rigging, casualty packaging, and controlled movement in rope-based systems.
The training also focuses on communication, hazard awareness, risk assessment, and maintaining personal and team safety in dynamic and often challenging environments.
By the end of the programme, students will be able to support rope rescue operations in a structured and safe manner, contributing effectively under supervision as part of a coordinated rescue team.
